Whether they're cleaning up the local beach, volunteering in the community, or helping to get food to people in need – there are so many awesome examples of youth leadership in this space – let’s celebrate them!

Every single day countless Kiwis exercise their generosity and support to make a difference in our communities. Whether you’re cleaning up the local beach, leading the waste reduction programme at your local school, or volunteering to support the elderly in your community – or something else – we’d love to hear from you. Regardless of what scale – if your work is making a difference for people and/or the environment in your community, you should apply!

Criteria for this category

What will the judges be looking for?

1. Detail about the project or work you are involved in, and what your role is
2. How is your work making a difference in your community, and who for?
3. How do you know it’s making a difference? Any key measures or metrics?
4. Any barriers or challenges that you have had to overcome in doing this
5. What difference could winning this award make?
