"I want to bring people back to their communities and help each other to achieve common goals."
Hey! My name is Taryn Hudepohl. I was born and raised in the Horowhenua area, before moving to Palmerston North to complete my Bachelor of Science, majoring in Psychology. I own 3 horses, so I spend most of my spare time out with my horses, either riding at home or out competing. Outside of horse riding, I enjoy playing music, drawing/painting and anything art based really! I also work part time at the Youth Space in Palmerston North, which is an extremely rewarding job and where I get to fulfil my passion for working with youth.
Kia ora, my name’s Dan, I’m 22 years old and come from the Wairarapa! I grew up on a small horse stud where my family train and show the American Quarter Horse. My life revolves around working with horses, they have been my passion since I was young and have taken me around the world. Prior to studying at Massey University, I took a gap year around the world, during which I showed horses as the captain of Team NZ at the AQHA Youth World Cup in Texas, winning a bronze medal. I now study full time in Palmerston North and train horses in my spare time.
"I’m super excited for the Future Leaders program and can’t wait for the challenge!"
