The Festival is your chance to connect, explore the big issues of our time, be inspired, and build ideas and skills to create the future.

What is the Festival?

Festival is two and a half days of insightful speakers, hands-on workshops, engaging panel discussions with leading experts, live music, entertainment, interactive art, good food, connecting with young New Zealanders from around the country, and a healthy dose of inspiration! It’s a place to network, develop your personal and professional skills, and learn about some of the greatness going on in our world. It’s your Festival, and this year we will design the programme with our community, to find out what they love from past years and how to make #FFTF18 the best and biggest yet!

Who is it for?

Whether you're a student, professional, entrepreneur or CEO, Festival is for anyone who is keen to know more about the future and how they can be part of making a difference in the world.

We say “young New Zealanders” because we reckon the content and vibe of Festival for the Future will most resonate with 18-30 year-olds, which is most of the people who come, but there is not age limit! If you’re outside that age range don’t worry, we’ve had participants aged 13-75. Basically ask us if you’re not sure, but anyone’s welcome.

One really important thing to note is that all attendees aged under 16 MUST be accompanied by a paying ticket holder aged 16 or older.

How can you get involved?

There are many ways you can get involved, with the first obvious one being to attend #FFTF18! But there are many other ways too:

  • Be part of the programme as one of the speakers/panelists
  • Join as a workshop host
  • Be a stall holder
  • Volunteer and give us a helping hand on the weekend!
