Festival for the Future!

It’s good to be back in Dunedin. This little city has seriously good vibes, and so much energy. Not to mention good surf, an epic farmers market, and a delicious organic eatery just around the corner from our office – good living!

Now back from a pretty chilled week off (yeeaaaah!), Laura & I have been cranking in the office. We’ve mapped out the time until the big festival (12-weeks), and all the little tasks (164+) that need ticked off to put on an amazing festival. We’ve also upgraded the website – huge thanks to Jamie from Enspiral for your help – Inspiring Stories 2.0!

Laura & I have just made the call to move to Wellington for the next 10-weeks. We’re really excited about being there – being on the ground to muster up as much goodness as possible. Right now we’re designing the programme, looking for key collaborators, and working on the Festival website – hoping to go live next week (www.festivalforthefuture.org.nz)!

In other exciting news, we’ve just had a very cool rough cut of a short film sent in by Johanna from Murchison (South Island) – serious talent indeed. Nice work Johanna!

If you’ve been out-an-about in the main centers lately you may have noticed an exciting new youth-led movement arising in New Zealand. They’re a crew of passionate young Kiwis spread across the country united by a single goal – to bring New Zealand’s carbon-emissions down to zero within a generation. Now that’s ambitious. I like it. Meet some of the core crew behind Generation Zero!
